Seriously, people believe this? I have no doubt that he probably talked up our submarines during the time frame when the Aussies were buying one of our subs over the French. As for giving up secret information... that's likely more Liberal BS like the Steele Report.

Let's look at a couple of things. The US has 14 missile subs and 50 attack subs. Each missile sub can carry up to 20 Trident missiles with up to 12 warheads. This information is on the internet. It's not exactly classified information and if anyone believes that Trump knew how many missiles were on board our boomers at any given time then they're fools. Again, I also doubt that he'd give out any real information on our capabilities.

The Russians already know how close we can get to their submarines. There's no doubt that they have discovered our subs in close proximity and have an idea how close our attack subs can get to their own. Never mind that a lot depends upon everything from currents, temperature, depth, water salinity and a host of other things when subs track each other. If an American submarine was discovered at 1,000 yds instead of 1,010 yds then they pretty much have an idea of our capabilities.

But Trump is Trump. The most likely scenario is that he really talked up our subs and greatly over stated their capabilities.
