The forced incest narrative doesn't make a lot of sense. I doubt that plantation owners were stupid and they were the ones most likely to own generations of slaves. It is entirely likely that they (and everyone) know about inbreeding and the dangers of the practice.
It is unlikely that this was a real thing.
