Make A Culture Change For Wealth?

Racial wealth gap will persist for centuries without reparations, new report finds (msn.com)

Ah yes, only when the government raises taxes, gives away more handouts and takes further control will the situation eventually (centuries from now) resolve itself.

Bear in mind that this is all my opinion, I'm sure that the big brains that overlook all of the points that I present below are actually correct in all regards and laboring (writing) for the common good.

As I don't make a living from reporting, creating or misrepresenting racial issues I thought that I'd spend only a few short minutes presenting some facts and perhaps a little common sense on this topic from a layman's perspective. In general, I'm sure that there are plenty out there that make a good salary from exploiting racial issues if someone is offended by facts, stats and basic common sense and wishes to look elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong though. I admit that past racism has some bearing on the wealth gap but I think that it is far lower than some would admit.

Let's look at the ages of Americans. I believe that most of us would agree that the older one is, the more wealth that they should accrue and have to pass on to their children. This is that common sense thing that I wrote about a few sentences ago. Give this age information a second look. It's huge in wealth creation.

Most common age of whites in U.S. is 58. For minorities, it’s 27 | Pew Research Center

"There were more 27-year-olds in the United States than people of any other age in 2018. But for white Americans, the most common age was 58, according to a Pew Research Center analysis of Census Bureau data."

"The most common age was 11 for Hispanics, 27 for blacks and 29 for Asians as of last July, the latest estimates available."

Let's now discuss marriage. I think that most would agree that it's easier to live (pay the bills and save) as a married couple than it is for singles or single parents.

Let's take a look at the number of children that Americans are having. Can we agree that the more kids that you have the less wealth that each one is likely to inherit? The more kids that one has the less likely you are to have a two income household or pay for college.

Whites appear to wait longer to have kids. I would assume that this is to have one's affairs in order before bringing a child into the picture.

Let's discuss teen pregnancies. 50% of those that get pregnant in HS fail to graduate. Most would agree that income/wealth is largely dependent upon education.

I'd like to go back a few decades. We're discussing the racial wealth gap and the wealth gap today was built long ago. Let's look at teenage pregnancy rates by race several decades ago. After all, these are the women that are passing (or not passing) along "Wealth." As I stated earlier, those that get pregnant in High School are likely to drop out at a 50% rate and education is largely tied to income. Something else to think about, I would guess that those that have kids as kids (teens) are likely to have more children thus driving down wealth.

This is interesting for those that consider the future. I would think that those in marketing would be fascinated by what's coming. This is mostly unrelated to the topic at hand.

It's time to discuss education. Most of what I have to say about education is that it appears that Black students do worse in districts filled with other Black students and run by Black Administrators,  Black school boards, Black Superintendents, Black Mayors, Black City Councils, etc, etc, etc.

Look at BaltimoreChicagoDetroit, etc. When you have districts in which there is one or two students  reading or doing math at their grade level then the problem isn't racism. It is, however, a wonderful excuse.

I won't even go into crime rates, income and wealth.

In general, if you want to fix a problem then you should honestly recognize the issues underlying the problem. If recognizing those issues conflicts with one's paycheck then good luck with that.

I will briefly mention that Asians do better in school than Whites, make more money than Whites, have higher marriage rates than Whites and wait longer to have kids. Divorce rates are also lower. It would almost appear that culture plays a large part in the wealth gap. It's normal in the Asian community for some to go from immigrants to college educated/professionals in one generation. I wish that my race (and others) would emulate the Asian community's culture leading towards their wealth creating (and family) success.

Perhaps this success in spite of having little political power in the USA is why Asians seem to be so hated by the Left.
