I believe that, overall, crying "Privilege" (alternate with screaming racism) is a way to negate someone's argument in favor of merit, competence and qualifications. 

At the heart of DEI is the practice of setting quotas, dumbing everything down and calling everyone that disagrees a racist.  You disagree? Give me an example of DEI being used and standards for competence or behavior increasing.
