Isn't everything today either racism or a racial slur?

It's almost as if there's not enough actual racism to support all of the DEI commissars and race pimping out there. More "Racism" has to be invented to fill the demand.
There's a joke out there that DEI stands for "Didn't Earn It." I doubt that there could ever be a more accurate statement. DEI and lowering standards, dumbing down curriculums, fudging numbers and giving quotas go together like peanut butter and jelly.
DEI and merit could not be any further apart.
Let me ask you this. When your kid is hit by a car while riding his/her bike would you prefer the best crew possible showing up in the rescue squad or the 16th most qualified person of whatever race, gender or imaginary gender? Do you want the best mechanic available installing a door on the jet that you're flying on or the best bipoc, non-binary, glitter encrusted wrench that the airline could find? When grandma flatlines in the supermarket do you want the doctor with the most degrees treating her or the most pronouns?
I can go on and on with this.
DEI is garbage. It's a wonderful racket for those making a living off of selling snake oil but it's bad for Americans. This is why racism has to be claimed when someone trashes it. Only in rare instances can it be defended and it's easier to say everyone is a racist than it is to defend hiring the 12th most qualified applicant.
But...
This Mayor is not a DEI hire or candidate. Don't get me wrong, I have no doubt that he'll sell that snake oil to the citizens of Baltimore as hard as any DEI commissar could. The mayor himself, however, is not a DEI hire. He's a Black mayor that was elected by Black people in a majority Black city to push the failed programs enacted again and again by every other Black mayor for as far back as I can remember. I suppose that he can take some weird pride in that instead of being an actual DEI hire.
He's actually more of a placeholder than anything else, IMO.
