"But the company’s own rank and file workers can also be a problem for companies trying to deliver on their DEI goals. About 37% of professionals surveyed say that managers are the top challengers of DEI initiatives. Another 34% said it was frontline workers, and 24% said external critics like media, politicians, and social media posed the biggest obstacles. Senior leadership and customers came in last, at 22% and 19% respectively."
Why, unless you are one of the less qualified applicants, would anyone that actually has to work for a living want DEI in their company? This isn't rocket science. You're either hiring based upon merit, competence and qualifications or you're hiring based upon a political agenda, race, gender or imaginary gender.
In short, you're hiring the best that you can get for a given wage in a particular area or you're hiring the best that you can get based upon a particular bias that has been specified from above.
