Stop pretending that when you hire the 12th most qualified person for a job based upon race, gender or imaginary gender that you're doing anything other than hiring a less qualified person.
Yes, there will be backlash when jobs and promotions go to less qualified people. Unfortunately, DEI will cause a lot of people to be tarnished unfairly. What's the solution?
Use something called merit when hiring or filling seats in the universities.
