Muslims took 15 million Black slaves into North Africa at the same time that 12-14 million slaves were brought to the Americas.

There was a 50% death rate in the Muslim slave trade while there was a 15% death rate in the Atlantic Slave Trade.

Male slaves were castrated when being brought into North Africa and their death rates went as high as 70%.
