David French Argues That DEI Has Become 'Yet Another Catchall Boogeyman' – Twitchy
College campuses are some of the most Liberal places in America. They're filled with young White men and women desperate to accuse each of racism in order to gain whatever the Hell it is you get when posting accusations on social media. Do colleges and universities really need 241 DEI commissars lowering standards, setting quotas and Jussie Smolleting up claims of bigotry and racism?
Bear with me for just a couple of quick points.
When a school hires hundreds of people and spends tens of millions of dollars on DEI then they'll eventually expect something from it. Are these schools actually such a hotbed of hate that they need more DEI agents patrolling the corridors then campus police? What are these DEI gestapo going to propose year after to year to justify their cushy jobs. This is a huge waste of money and drives up costs. It also stifles free speech at a place where free thought and speech used to be important.
I remember reading an article several years ago about the former Soviet Union. The Soviet Union was a huge snitch state. They had informants everywhere. There were babushkas in every apartment building watching the comings and goings of tenants and political commissars in every military unit preaching the wonders of Communism. You were observed at work, home, etc. by people you didn't know were paid to spy. One expected to be spied upon in every aspect of your daily life.
The thing is that these spies were paid to produce information on the disloyal or dissatisfied. It the snitches wanted to keep their jobs then they had to produce and most people in the Soviet Union were smart enough to keep their mouths shut. So the spies had to lie, over state what they saw and insinuate about things that never occurred. This kept people silent, fearful and kept the spying apparatus employed and active.
I suspect that our DIE commissars will do the same thing. If they aren't falling over each other to out produce BS claims of racism then I'll be shocked. If you were a DEI agent at a university would you rather go out and work in sales, mine coal out of the ground, work in a factory or simply sit in an office calling everything racist while making a six figure salary? I think that we know the answer.
Guess what though? If you disagree with DEI and all of the false claims, quotas, racism and lowered standards associated with the program then you are a racist. Funny how that works, huh?
"We recently learned that the University of Michigan has spent $85 million on DEI programs over the past five years, employing some 241 DEI staffers. What clearly agreed-upon need do these 241 staffers serve?"
