Just a couple of thoughts on this HS.
This school gets about $9,000 per student from the state. Whatever other money is used comes from local property taxes. I'm sure that local parents take an interest in the school and also have the occasional fundraiser. On the other hand DC, Baltimore and Chicago get about $22,000 or more per student. I doubt that most of the parents take much of an interest in the local schools.
The 3 gyms were nice, the auto and wood shops were great, the library was beautiful. The hallways, coffee shop, weight room, etc. were awesome. Guess what? None of that helps get the scores up for math and reading. If anything, all of the extras are a distraction.
People have been learning to read and write for at least 5,000 years. Human beings were learning to write since at least the age of reeds and clay tablets... except in Liberal run Hell holes where there are dozens of schools filled with failure.
If there is a money issue for other schools then perhaps the cities can unf#ck their culture, taxes, crime rates, Education dept, City Hall, City Council and school board. Liberals in Baltimore, DC, Chicago, etc have complete control over their cities. Make their cities somewhere that people want to live and businesses want to operate. The tax money will become available if they make a livable place to reside instead of continuing their half century of failure.
By the way, the people losing their minds about this school are quiet as church mice about failing schools from coast to coast.
